Shaft Compatibility

This coupling has geometry to capture 3/8 in. hex shafts with an inside hex profile.

Clamping

The clamping force is provided by four 10-32 x 0.5 in. socket head cap screws for a high-strength clamping solution that won't strip out when you need it most. These screws are bigger than most used in the comparable shaft couplings from other suppliers. You can even replace the 10-32 screw if it becomes lost, with the screws historically used in the AM14U family of chassis.

Use Near Bearings

The best shaft coupling available has been thoughtfully designed with small bosses on each side. These allow these collar clamps to be installed directly adjacent to an FR8ZZ Round or FR8ZZ Hex bearing without rubbing on the outer races for smooth operation.
