These custom designed collar clamps have been designed specifically with FIRST Robotics Competition teams in mind. The one-piece collar clamp is a nice fractional width to make shaft stackups easy. The clamping force is provided by a socket head screw, 10-32 for the HD which is bigger than most used in the competition marketplace, and 4-40 for the thin versions for fitting in tight spots. This provides a high-strength clamping solution that shouldn't strip out when you need it most. You can even replace the 10-32 screw if it becomes lost with the screws historically used in the AM14U family of chassis. These thoughtfully designed collar clamps also have small bosses on each side. This allows these collar clamps to be installed directly adjacent to bearings without rubbing on the outer races for smooth operation.
