The hex short output shaft is but one of many options for output when it comes to Toughbox series gearboxes. This shaft includes a magnet pressed into the small end of the output shaft making it compatible with magnetic encoders.

The keyed steel output shaft can be used in any Toughbox® series gearbox. This shaft includes a pre-installed magnet designed specifically with the E4T OEM Miniature Optical Encoder (am-3132) and SRX Magnetic Encoder (am-3445) encoder in mind. This shaft has replaced am-0506. When used in a Toughbox® series gearbox this shaft needs to be supported with a 1/2 in. hex bearing such as am-0279.

The long steel output shaft is optional for the Toughbox>® series gearboxes. This shaft includes a pre-installed magnet designed specifically with the E4T OEM Miniature Optical Encoder (am-3132) and SRX Magnetic Encoder (am-3445) encoder in mind. This shaft has replaced am-0211.

Usage:
If using this shaft with the SRX Magnetic Encoder (am-3445), the SRX Magnetic Encoder Mounting Hardware Kit (am-3565) will be needed. The hardware allows for proper spacing of the encoder from the shaft magnet on Toughbox® Series Gearboxes and the EVO Shifter.
